SO, YOU THINK ARIZONA IS JUST A DESERT!!!!!!
So did I, But it took me a while to prove otherwise to myself. My east coast background made me seek to find spaces and places in Scottsdale and adjoining towns that reminded me my native New Jersey and years spent in beautiful California
I found lakes and green grass, mountains and boulder croppings that were awesome. The mountains were the backdrop that showcased the beauty of the desert sky. Contrary to what most visitors have assumed, Arizona is sand, dust and a dry heat…. I started to realize that not only roadrunners and cactus can survive here, people like me can too!
There are 31 lakes, 16,000 acres of water in this state and over 400 golf courses, hiking trails, mountains and a big sky. So, take a deep breath, youre gonna love it…
Many visitors from all over the world start out as seasonal visitors, spending a few days away from the cold winter weather, but every year their stays get longer and longer until they decide to spend the rest of their life here.
As a native of New Jersey we used to say “ we’re going to the shore for the weekend” then my friends in California said “ we’re going to the beach” in Arizona ,it is said “ we’re going to the Lake” ,none of it really matters ,its all water and a great escape .
Give me this opportunity to introduce you to this Grand Canyon State, so full of beauty and undiscovered secrets
